About Tungsten Carbide

Our Tungsten Carbide Jewelry is created through an extrodinary process of forging Tungsten and Carbide powders together. Tungsten rings are the most wear resistant rings available on the planet. Tungsten Carbide is about 5 times harder than tool steel, and 4 times harder than titanium. In the scale of 10 on the Mohs hardness scale (with Diamond as 10 for hardest), Tungsten measures between 8.5 and 9. The resulting metal can be designed into tungsten carbide wedding band rings that are both visually stunning to please the eye and durable enough to withstand everyday use. Tungsten rings have been referred to as the Permanently Polished Rings and Tungsten rings will NOT BEND. Also, in the event of an emergency, a ring can be removed by a medical professional.

Nickel-binder for Hypoallergenic

Our Tungsten Carbide Jewelry uses nickel as the binder alloy so that it is chemically inert, will not oxidize and hypoallergenic. Therefore, there is no danger of irritation to the skin. You should avoid Tungsten Rings that use cobalt as a binder, because cobalt bonds with oils in the skin and leeches out of the ring resulting in oxidation. The oxidation appears similar to tarnished sliver, but cannot be removed by polishing or grinding.
